Your role and responsibilities

ABB Electrification is seeking an experienced Information Technology Solution Architect to work in enpower’s architecture and platform technologies. As a Solution Architect in the ABB IS organization, you will have the opportunity to work in a high-paced, international environment, solve complex problems, participate in building our IS solution capability and grow together with the rapidly developing business. The IS Solution Architect needs strong development background (.Net, ReactJS, SQL) to mold and be responsible for the design and implementation of backend solutions. The work model for the role is: #LI-remote

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Implementing technical solutions using coding and design principles, using various languages and technologies (C#, .Net Core, SQL, JavaScript/ReactJS, etc.)
• Collaborating with the business and team members to understand functional and technical requirements
• Identifying and managing risks to delivery of the platform including contingency plans to mitigate potential issues.
• Contributing to IS Problem and IS Incident Management goals to address ticket volume by detecting re-occurring defects and eliminating these.
• Proactively supporting issue resolution during project delivery to avoid delays or any other negative impact to a project or service

Qualifications for the role

• 8-10 years of working experience with SaaS software and standard web API system architecture
• Strong technical skills and applied knowledge in the following areas:
• o .NET Core, ASP.NET, REST, Windows services, SQL
• o Contemporary web technologies (React.JS, Webpack, Babel.js, Node.js)
• o Cloud Technologies: AWS and AWS services (EC2, SQS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.)
• o Containerization technology experience with Docker/Kubernetes, MACH
• Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate well with others to solve problems as well as Strong Analytical Skills and Attention to Detail
• Solid ability to clearly articulate complex information to IT/Application peers, business teams and external customers
• Proven analytical and problem resolution skills with the ability to assess complex issues with limited information
• Overseeing code quality, branching control processes and quality, and maintaining awareness of new and emerging technologies and their potential application to the business needs

While base salary is determined by qualifications and experience, this position is expected to pay between $98,700 and $183,300 annually and is eligible for a short-term incentive plan/annual bonus.
