Overview
This is advanced technical work with administrative responsibility in planning, designing, implementing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining computer hardware and desktop PCs for a Property Appraiser's department. Employees in this classification are responsible for activities pertaining to the planning, installation, support, and administration of applications, desktop PCs and printers, and PA-specific software. Incumbents supervise subordinate technical employees who install, configure, and support local area networks and computer equipment, troubleshooting activities, and end-user support. The employee is required to be technically proficient to maintain business continuity within the technical environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Completion of 60 semester credits to include 15-semester credits in a computer-related field and a minimum of three (3) years of work experience; or completion of a vocational or trade school program and a minimum of four (4) years of experience; or high school diploma or GED and a minimum of six (6) year of work experience. Work experience shall include planning, designing, implementing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing of desktop, workstation, and server computers, storage arrays, and related equipment.
