Job summary

Central Arkansas Library System is seeking an IS Library Specialist at the Main Library in Little Rock. This full-time public service position in Information Services focuses on assisting the periodicals manager with collection maintenance, and managing tax forms.

You will staff the public computer lab, answer calls and chats system-wide, and provide technology assistance to patrons of varying skill levels. Notary public status may be pursued; some evening and weekend hours are required.

Qualifications

• Must have exceptional technology skills and knowledge of a wide variety of software and digital devices.
• Candidate must be able to provide instructional assistance in person and remotely.
• Candidate must possess strong customer-service, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• An ideal candidate will be flexible, possess an easy-going attitude, and have enthusiasm for working with diverse patrons and staff and must be willing to become a notary public.
• Must be able to stand long periods of time, push and pull at least 50 lbs., lift, squat, and work some evenings and weekends.
