Job summary

Central Arkansas Library System seeks a full-time Maintenance Technician to support 19 library facilities across the system. You will perform building and grounds upkeep, electrical and plumbing repairs, lighting, doors and locks, shelving installation, painting, and minor repairs.

On-call rotation may require responding to emergencies and coordinating with a team. Qualifications include related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, the ability to read maintenance

MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN – Central Arkansas Library System

Central Arkansas Library System is seeking a full-time (40hours/week) Maintenance technician to help maintain and repair 19 public library facilities throughout the system.

Responsibilities

• building and grounds maintenance
• electrical and plumbing fixture repairs
• lighting
• doors, and locks
• shelving and furniture installation
• painting
• minor equipment repairs
• logistics support
• responding to emergency maintenance needs as part of an on-call rotation

Qualifications & Requirements

• Candidates must have related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Candidates must be able to read and follow maintenance and safety procedures, work independently, and perform a variety of physical tasks.
• A valid Arkansas driver’s license and the ability to safely operate vehicles and maintenance equipment are preferred.
• Basic computer skills, detail oriented, and the ability to work in a team-oriented, task sharing environment is essential.
• Other duties as assigned.

Pay range starts at $16.11 and is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
