Description

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Cloud Engineering Lead to oversee the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers, driving cloud strategy, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security of cloud environments, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and efficient solutions. As a hands-on leader, you will remain deeply involved in day-to-day technical decision-making, actively guiding architectural direction, coding practices, and infrastructure deployments to ensure the highest quality outcomes. The position offers a compensation range of $152,000 - $161,000 with a 20% annual incentive opportunity. This is a hybrid role based at our Downtown Manhattan headquarters.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead and mentor cloud engineering team while maintaining technical involvement
2. Design and implement scalable cloud solutions aligned with business goals
3. Oversee cloud operations, automation, and cost optimization
4. Partner with InfoSec to maintain cloud security and compliance
5. Collaborate across teams to drive cloud initiatives and communicate with leadership

Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
2. 7+ years cloud engineering experience (3+ years leadership)
3. Expertise in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
4. Infrastructure as code proficiency (Terraform, CloudFormation)
5. Cloud security and compliance expertise
6. CI/CD and DevOps experience
7. Outstanding communication and leadership abilities

Preferred:

1. Cloud architect certifications (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
2. Agile and project management background
3. Programming skills in Python, Go, Java
