Job summary

Confidential law firm in Irvine, CA seeks an experienced Employment Litigation Associate to join its growing labor and employment practice. The ideal candidate has 4–7 years of wage-and-hour and discrimination litigation experience and will handle matters from discovery through trial in collaboration with senior attorneys.

You'll represent employers, manage client relationships, and develop case strategy on complex matters, including wage-hour, discrimination, class/collective actions and PAGA.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of employment litigation experience.
• Admitted to the California Bar and hold a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Substantive wage and hour and/or discrimination/harassment litigation experience.
• Class, collective action and/or PAGA experience.
• Deposition experience and strong motion practice.
• Excellent analytical and organizational abilities; strong client-facing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Represent employers in complex employment litigation from discovery through trial.
• Draft and respond to discovery and pleadings; prepare and argue motions.
• Take and defend depositions and assist with strategic case management.
• Communicate with clients and develop case strategy in collaboration with senior attorneys.
