• Strong technical and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with irrigation, plumbing, electrical, pumps, or equipment servicing preferred.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift equipment and perform physical work.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair irrigation systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and seasonal start-up/shutdown services.
• Communicate professionally with customers on service calls.
• Assist customers with irrigation product recommendations and sales.
• Provide excellent customer support before, during, and after installations.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service records.
• Assist with other agricultural operations during the off-season.

About the role

Red Cedar Agronomy is looking for a dependable, mechanically minded Irrigation Technician to join our growing team.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working outdoors, solving problems, and helping customers keep their irrigation systems running efficiently. You don’t need an agronomy background—we’re looking for someone with strong technical skills, a solid work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

Because irrigation work is seasonal, this full-time position offers the opportunity to support other areas of our agricultural operations throughout the year. During the irrigation season, you’ll focus on installing, servicing, and repairing irrigation systems. During the off-season, you’ll assist with other projects across the business, giving you a variety of work and the opportunity to expand your skills.
