Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Irrigation Technician to oversee and manage the irrigation operations within our organization. This individual will be responsible for leading and directing the day-to-day activities of the irrigation division, ensuring efficient project execution, and maintaining the highest standards of quality in irrigation design, installation, and maintenance services for commercial, residential and HOA properties. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of irrigation systems, project management, and team leadership, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and achieving operational excellence. This person will be working in the field initially for up to two years.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management:
• Manage and lead a team of irrigation technicians, designers, and field staff.
• Provide mentorship, training, and development opportunities for team members.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
• Foster a collaborative culture within the irrigation division to meet company goals.
• Project Oversight & Management:
• Oversee the planning, design, and execution of irrigation projects from start to finish.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and timelines to ensure successful project completion.
• Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet all quality standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth integration of irrigation systems with overall site development.
• Technical Expertise:
• Provide technical expertise and troubleshooting support for irrigation design and installation.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including water conservation policies and environmental best practices.
• Recommend and implement innovative irrigation technologies and solutions to improve efficiency and reduce water usage.
• Client Relations:
• Maintain and build relationships with clients and vendors.
• Ensure clear communication with clients throughout project lifecycle, from design to completion.
• Handle any issues or concerns raised by clients in a professional and timely manner.
• Budget & Cost Control:
• Develop and manage budgets for each project, ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented.
• Monitor financial performance and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Track and report on company software.
• Health & Safety Compliance:
• Ensure that all irrigation work complies with company safety policies.
• Promote safe work practices and conduct regular safety audits to identify and address potential hazards.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
• 3+ years of experience in irrigation system design, installation, and maintenance.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale irrigation projects.
• Skills:
• Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, technologies, and industry standards.
• Proficiency with irrigation design software and project management tools.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks such as digging, lifting, and installing irrigation components.
• Valid driver’s license.
