Job Description- Irrigation Technician

Trump National Golf Club of Philadelphia is a private, 18-hole golf club set in 365 acres of the secluded, pine barrens of New Jersey; only 25 minutes from downtown Philadelphia. The club is seeking a motivated individual to assume the role of Irrigation Technician to aid in the routine maintenance, repair, reporting and monitoring of the Rainbird irrigation and well systems throughout the property. Ensuring that all components are constantly performing to achieve our goals of providing the highest quality playing surfaces for the membership and their guests to enjoy.

Responsibilities Include (Not Limited To)

1. Daily scouting for any issues that require repairing or adjusting
2. Aid in the irrigation of various pesticide and fertilizer applications throughout the season
3. Monthly reporting of consumption and well depths in accordance with state regulations
4. Monitoring and maintenance of the pump house, electrical components of the satellites, heads, and main computer control hub
5. Highly responsible for executing the new GPS mapping and system updates utilizing Cirrus Pro
6. Daily communication with the Superintendent and other managers
7. Assisting the crew in course preparation and other equipment operation when required
8. Supervise and lead small teams when larger projects require additional help
9. Maintain a proper inventory of parts and accessories while working within the confines of the budget
10. Organizing and maintenance of the irrigation building
11. Winterization and system charge
12. Must have strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize needs when solving problems
13. The ability to productively work alone and sometimes in small groups
14. A vast knowledge of methods and materials used in irrigation system repair and maintenance, including design, replacements and installations
15. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and layouts
16. Firm understanding of troubleshooting computer components associated with modern irrigation systems
17. Experience with safety protocols associated with equipment and materials used with irrigation repair and maintenance
18. Comfortability working in the elements and confined spaces at times
19. Understand and follow oral and written instructions
20. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other staff members, vendors, and various companies
21. Understanding the physical requirements of the job, including frequent standing, kneeling, bending over and capacity of lifting up to 50 lbs throughout the day
