Job summary

Tessera is seeking a hardworking Irrigation Technician Lead in Cheyenne, WY on a full-time day shift (Mon–Fri, 7:00 am–3:30 pm). This role requires driving and offers a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial irrigation systems.
• Advanced knowledge of irrigation components including controllers, valves, sprinklers, sensors, pumps, and related electrical and mechanical systems.
• Proven ability to lead by example, provide technical guidance, train team members, and coordinate daily work activities.
• Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and communication skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities

• Perform and lead daily irrigation maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and installation activities to ensure systems operate efficiently and meet contract requirements.
• Serve as the lead irrigation technician providing day-to-day guidance and support to the crew.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair irrigation system issues including controllers, valves, sprinklers, timers, sensors, wiring, and related components.
• Install, adjust, test, and maintain irrigation equipment for proper coverage and performance.
• Conduct seasonal startups, shutdowns, winterization, freeze protection, and inspections.
• Monitor performance, identify leaks, malfunctions, and inefficiencies; recommend corrective actions.
• Train and mentor irrigation technicians on techniques, equipment, troubleshooting, and safety.
• Maintain records of repairs, inspections, maintenance, inventory usage, and water data.
