Job summary

Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Laborer to care for outdoor spaces in Alameda, CA. The role involves maintaining and repairing sprinkler systems, mowing lawns, trimming hedges, pruning shrubs, and general grounds upkeep across Bay Area sites.

The candidate must have several years of grounds experience, including irrigation, and hold a CA Real ID with a clean driving record.

Qualifications

Must be able to read and comprehend Blueprints.
Must be able to work independently and have effective communication.
Four years experience in care and maintenance of landscaped areas or general grounds.
Two years of irrigation systems experience or irrigation equipment experience.
Minimum of one year experience in related field.
Valid CA State Real ID Driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
United States Citizenship or eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

Maintain sprinkler systems and repair sprinkler lines, heads, valves, and related equipment.
Inspect, service, maintain, and repair automatic sprinkler control devices.
Perform minor repairs on sprinkler control devices.
Mow lawns and trim hedges; prune shrubs and trees; water and fertilize as needed.
Load and unload trucks; move supplies and materials safely.
Assist with spill response team as assigned; follow safety practices.
