Job summary

Qualifications

• Four years experience in the care and maintenance of landscaped areas, two years in irrigation.
• Must read and comprehend blueprints.
• United States Citizenship or eligible to work in the United States.
• Valid CA Real ID Driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain sprinkler systems.
• Repair sprinkler lines, heads, valves and related equipment.
• Inspect, service, maintain, and repair automatic sprinkler control devices.
• Perform minor repairs on sprinkler control devices.
• Establish and maintain sprinkler system preventive maintenance programs.
• Cut grass using walk-behind or riding mowers (less than 2,000 lbs).
• Trim hedges/edges around walkways, flower beds, and walls.
• Clean walks, drives and parking areas by means of a landscape blower or vacuum.
• Prune shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth using shears and other hand tools.
• Spray lawns, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicide, and/or insecticide.
• Plant grass, trees, flowers, and shrubs.
• Water lawns and shrubs.
• Perform litter and debris clean-up.
• Weed plant and ornamental landscape beds.
• Repair and paints fences, gates, benches, buildings, and equipment.
