Chugach Government Solutions (CGS) seeks a Grounds Maintenance Laborer to maintain interior and exterior buildings, grounds and roadways. Responsibilities include mowing, trimming, pruning, planting, and minor repairs while ensuring safety standards.

The role is onsite in Oceanside, California, with duties spanning landscaping, equipment operation, and basic maintenance tasks in varied weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 6+ months grounds/landscaping experience required.
• Must have a valid state driver’s license.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Cut grass using walk-behind or riding mowers.
• Trim hedges and edges around walkways and beds.
• Clean walks, drives, and parking areas; use blower/vacuum.
• Prune shrubs/trees to shape.
• Spray lawns and shrubs with fertilizer/herbicide/insecticide.
• Plant grass, trees, flowers, shrubs.
• Water lawns and shrubs; remove litter and debris.
• Weed landscape beds; repair fences, gates, benches, and equipment.
• May assist spill response; load/unload trucks; move supplies.
• Move heavy equipment; wash, wax, and polish vehicles.
• Work safely; report accidents and hazards.
