Job summary

O'Toole's Garden Centers is seeking a Facilities & Maintenance Technician to keep our stores, grounds, equipment, and irrigation systems safe and functional. This hands-on role involves fixing issues, coordinating with the Warehouse Manager, and supporting a busy garden center, especially during spring.

The position offers a 9:00 AM–5:00 PM schedule, Monday–Friday with some weekend work, and annual snow and seasonal maintenance duties. Join a team that keeps facilities running smoothly.

Qualifications

• At least one full irrigation season in Colorado (spring charge-up, programming, winterization).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds safely.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable MVR.
• Knowledge of maintenance tools and basic service.
• Comfort using computers/tablets; central control software helpful.
• Ability to follow procedures, manage priorities, take direction.
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Complete safety, corrective, and preventative maintenance work orders; communicate delays or needs.
• Perform daily repair and upkeep at company properties per priorities.
• Site inspections of facilities and equipment; report issues promptly.
• Assist with store maintenance and improvement projects as directed.
• Perform snow removal and other seasonal maintenance duties as assigned.
• Assist with contractor access and on-site coordination.
• Operate approved tools, garden equipment, and machinery as trained.
• Follow OSHA requirements and company safety procedures.
