Job summary

Walmart is seeking a Technician in Facility Services, Irrigation Exterior Services in Tigard, OR to maintain irrigation systems and outdoor environments. The role involves hands-on work, collaboration, and attention to detail to ensure efficient operation and well-kept exterior spaces.

Responsibilities include installing and repairing irrigation components, operating specialized equipment, coordinating with contractors when needed, and performing seasonal maintenance.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in the landscaping/irrigation industry, including plumbing and electrical troubleshooting.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid, state-issued driver's license.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation components (wiring, controllers, valves, heads, rotors, lines, drip lines, bubblers).
• Operate equipment for pressure testing, trenching, and pipe installation.
• Order irrigation supplies, spare parts, and equipment; obtain quotes from contractors when required.
• Recommend and assist in prioritizing upgrades and replacements of systems and equipment.
• Respond to work orders and document records and logs.
• Maintain safe work environment by following safety policies and reporting violations.
• Perform seasonal maintenance like winterizing and spring startup.
