Job summary

Turner Industries is seeking an Ironworker for a maintenance position in Pass Christian, MS. The role involves raising, placing and joining girders, columns, and other structural-steel members as part of a crew.

Non-exempt position reporting to the Foreman with duties assigned by procedures and regular checks. Essential qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, 1–4 years of experience, tool knowledge, rigging skills, and possibly NCCER certification.

Qualifications

• High school or equivalent is required.
• 1–4 years of experience in the trade depending on mechanic level.
• Knowledge of ironworker tools and how to use them.
• Rigging skills including wire rope slings.
• NCCER certification may be required on some job sites.
• Written pre-employment qualification test.
• Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
• Site safety requirements as required by the client ( PPE and basics ).
• Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, glasses, gloves, respirator, etc.).
• No relocation available; candidate must reside nearby.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries of structural material from the fabricator.
• Set up and breakdown hoisting equipment for raising and placing structural-steel members.
• Bolt and align members; guide and position components.
• Ensure vertical and horizontal alignment of members and finalize bolting.
