Responsibilities

• Prepare and construct structural members to support their intended load.
• Handle tools, equipment, and materials at the worksite.
• Follow all safety procedures and policies.
• Supervise and train Structural Ironworker Helpers.
• Set up hoisting equipment for raising and placing steel members.
• Install members into final position using appropriate tools.
• Align holes and verify the positioning of members.
• Assist in lifting, positioning, and securing materials during installation.

Physical Demands

• Climbing ladders up to 150’.
• Crouching, reaching, kneeling, squatting, and overhead work.
• Walking on even and uneven surfaces up to 500’.
• Grip strength of 60#.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as an Ironworker Journeyman - Structural or equivalent.
• Knowledge of steel fabrication, erection, and welding.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Proficiency in OSHA regulations.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical documents.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
