Job summary

EGC Construction Corporation in Newport, KY is seeking an Ironworker Foreman with commercial/industrial experience to lead field crews on structural steel erection projects. You will oversee rigging, setting, and support activities and serve as the on-site leader for ironwork operations.

Read drawings, coordinate with millwrights and pipefitters, enforce safety rules, train crew members, and ensure work progresses on schedule while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 8+ years of ironworking experience with at least 2 years in a foreman role.
• Strong knowledge of industrial piping environments, including pipe supports and structural steel interfaces.
• OSHA 10 certification.
• NCCER Ironworker or Rigging Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee field crews responsible for structural steel erection, rigging, setting and support activities associated with industrial piping projects.
• Act as the primary on-site leader for ironwork operations, coordinating daily tasks, managing crew performance, and collaborating with project management to maintain smooth jobsite execution.
• Provide training, coaching, and mentorship to crew members.
• Read and interpret structural drawings, piping supports, blueprints, and specifications.
• Oversee structural steel erection, pipe support installation, fabrication, rigging and layout work.
• Coordinate with millwrights, pipefitters, welders and other trades to maintain workflow.
• Enforce all safety regulations, including fall protection, rigging standards, and hazard controls.
• Complete Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and incident reports as required.
