Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints to determine material locations, quantities, and sizes.
• Fabricate metal parts such as frames, columns, beams per blueprints.
• Unload and position prefabricated steel, hoist beams into place.
• Verify alignment of structural steel with plumb bobs, lasers, or levels.
• Cut, bend or weld steel pieces using torches, shears, or welding equipment.
• Position structural steel and bolt/weld for final assembly.
• Assemble hoisting equipment to move heavy materials.
