Job summary

MMI Industrial & Steel in Mesa, Arizona, is hiring experienced ironworkers to support the Amkor Project in Peoria. You will read blueprints, lay out and erect structural steel, and install stairs, rails, and other metalwork.

Candidates must have at least 3 years of ironworking and welding experience, pass a drug test, and be able to work overtime, nights, and weekends. A valid toolset and crane/rigger knowledge are a plus; safety first on job sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in ironworking and welding.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Must pass drug test.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand, and interpret blueprints and specifications.
• Layout, bolt up, connect and erect structural steel.
• Install steel stairs, railings, fences, and misc. metals.
• Follow safety guidelines and policies.
• Operate crane hoists, rigging, and signaling (certifications a plus).
• Welding, torch cutting, arc gouging, grinding.
• Possess tools and able to pass 3G/4G weld tests.
• Work overtime, nights, and weekends as required.
• Lift and carry objects over 50 lbs.

MMI is an industrial and steel company is based in Mesa, Arizona. MMI has been in business since 1974 and continues to grow each year.

This position will be working on our Amkor Project in Peoria, AZ.

MMI is looking to hire experienced ironworkers who have at least 3 years of experience in ironworking and welding.

Ironworkers are involved in raising, positioning, aligning, and connecting steel girders, columns, beams, and other structural members to form completed structures or structural frameworks.

Must be able to pass a drug test.

Pay depends on experience.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to read, understand and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Layout, bolt up, connecting and erecting structural steel
• Installation of steel stairs and railings, fences, gates and other misc. metals
• Follow company and jobsite safety guidelines, procedures and policies
• Knowledge and use of crane hoisting, rigging and signaling (certifications a plus)
• Welding, torch cutting, arc gouging, grinding
• Must be certified or able to pass a 3G and 4G weld test (SMAW and FCAW)
• Operate equipment (scissor lifts, boom lifts, reach forklifts, warehouse forklifts etc.)
• Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload
• Have own tools
• Ironworkers must be physically able to: Lift and carry objects weighing more than 50 lbs.
• Stoop, kneel, crawl, lay, bend, squat, stand and walk for long periods of time
• Climb and maintain body balance on ladders, scaffolding or high structures (may exceed 100ft)
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
