Job summary

MMI in Mesa, AZ is seeking experienced ironworkers for the Amkor Project in Peoria. The role requires reading blueprints, laying out and erecting structural steel, welding and rigging. You must be able to pass a drug test and bring your own tools.

This full-time position offers benefits including health insurance, 401(k), holiday pay, PTO, profit sharing. Overtime nights and weekends may be required; candidates should have at least 3 years of ironworking/welding experience and be able to work in

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years ironworking and welding experience.
• Able to pass a drug test.
• Must be able to read blueprints and specifications.
• Certified or able to pass 3G/4G weld test (SMAW/FCAW).
• Must have own tools.
• Able to work overtime, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Read, understand and interpret blueprints and specifications
• Layout, bolt up, connecting and erecting structural steel
• Installation of steel stairs and railings, fences, gates and other misc. metals
• Follow company and jobsite safety guidelines, procedures and policies
• Knowledge and use of crane hoisting, rigging and signaling (certifications a plus)
• Welding, torch cutting, arc gouging, grinding
• Must be certified or able to pass a 3G and 4G weld test (SMAW and FCAW)
• Operate equipment (scissor lifts, boom lifts, reach forklifts, warehouse forklifts etc.)
• Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload
• Have own tools

MMI is an industrial and steel company is based in Mesa, Arizona. MMI has been in business since 1974 and continues to grow each year.

This position will be working on our Amkor Project in Peoria, AZ.

MMI is looking to hire experienced ironworkers who have at least 3 years of experience in ironworking and welding. Ironworkers are involved in raising, positioning, aligning, and connecting steel girders, columns, beams, and other structural members to form completed structures or structural frameworks. Must be able to pass a drug test.

Pay depends on experience.

Ironworkers Must Be Physically Able To

• Lift and carry objects weighing more than 50 lbs.
• Stoop, kneel, crawl, lay, bend, squat, stand and walk for long periods of time
• Climb and maintain body balance on ladders, scaffolding or high structures (may exceed 100ft)
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions
