Job summary

Hotel Celare, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio, part of Shaner Hotels, seeks an Iris Café Server to join the team in Cincinnati. You will take orders, serve food and beverages to tables, and ensure guests have a welcoming experience.

The role requires a friendly, reliable team player with at least one year in a customer-facing role, ability to work flexible hours, and adherence to safety standards; bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public.
• Must meet state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
• High school graduate or equivalent; some college preferred.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training.
• Alcohol awareness training (TIPS).
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic, non-alcoholic beverages, and food orders to guest tables.
• Collect payments and assist in maintenance of restaurant area and equipment.
• Be available for a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Ensure compliance with daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department.
• Maintain food and beverage safety and quality per hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specs.

• Ensures compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department.
• Maintains food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications.
• Ensures communication with General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors and Staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
