Job summary

Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a PPS Program Coordinator for the Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF-PAI) program. You will train and collaborate with treatment teams involved in patient assessment and data reporting, ensuring Medicare guidelines compliance and proper tier codes to maximize reimbursement.

You will work with physicians and coders, develop documentation systems, and lead staff education on GG scoring and CMS requirements, contributing to quality improvement

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s degree required in applicable field.
• Experience: A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience with IRF/ PPS processes.
• Demonstrated effectiveness in communication, interdisciplinary collaboration and regulatory understanding.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care within the scope of license, meeting regulations.
• Complete IRF-PAI data to determine RIC, IGC, CMG and reimbursement.
• Develop and implement a schedule for IRF-PAI completion per Medicare requirements.
• Coordinate pre-admit assessment and screening with Admission Coordinators and Coders.
• Maintain timely transmission of IRF-PAI to CMS and monitor key metrics for quality improvement.
