Encompass Health seeks a Patient Assessment Standards Coordinator to ensure accurate data extraction from clinical documentation and timely reporting for Medicare patients. The role focuses on IRF-PAI completion and QA across patient records, supporting staff with documentation standards and coding accuracy.

The position emphasizes process improvement, training, and collaboration to maintain high-quality patient assessments across our nationwide inpatient rehabilitation network.

Qualifications

• Licensed or certified clinician in healthcare with active credentials.
• Experience in IRF-PAI data and quality indicators is preferred.
• Ability to educate and support staff on proper documentation.
• Proven organizational and communication skills with deadline-driven work.

Responsibilities

• Extract data accurately from clinical documentation.
• Coordinate timely submission of data for Medicare patients (IRF-PAI).
• Educate staff on proper documentation and coding practices.
• Act as primary resource for problem-solving regarding QI coding and IRF-PAI completion.
• Improve the process of QI coding and data collection for IRF-PAI.
• Ensure IRF-PAI data is entered and transmitted to CMS/UDS within required time frames.
