Job summary

JW Marriott Nashville is seeking an IRD Server to deliver luxury guest service in a fast-paced upscale hotel setting. You will learn the full menu, take and deliver orders, and ensure timely service from order entry to bill settlement.

Ideal candidates will understand liquor laws, maintain sanitation, handle money accurately and communicate effectively in English. This full-time role is on-site at our downtown Nashville property and offers opportunities to engage with guests in a luxury

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic functions of food operations.
• Familiar with liquor laws affecting service of alcoholic beverages.
• Able to maintain sanitation and proper chemical usage.
• Capable of basic mathematical calculations for billing.
• Experience handling money and giving correct change.
• Familiar with POS systems and order entry.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Present a professional demeanor suitable for luxury service.

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with all menu items, wine and spirits.
• Take and deliver food and beverage orders to guests and ensure prompt delivery.
• Enter orders into the computer system to request food preparation.
• Observe guests and respond to additional service needs.
• Prepare checks and deliver to guests when finished.
• Clear, clean, reset and maintain station during shift.
• Follow cash, credit card and room charge procedures.
• Follow check control procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.
