Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking a Research Compliance Administrator to support day-to-day management of IRB, IACUC, and training compliance within the Office of Research and Grants. The role involves evaluating submissions, issuing determinations, and advising researchers on regulatory requirements.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree with 3+ years in research administration or higher education, and must pass a background check. Familiarity with IACUC and FERPA is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3+ years in research administration or higher education.
• Working knowledge of IRB and 45 CFR 46.
• Background check required.
• Bonus familiarity with IACUC and FERPA or CIP/AIA certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage IRB submission workflow from intake through closure.
• Pre-review submissions against regulatory and institutional requirements.
• Make exempt and not-human-subjects determinations as delegated.
• Advise faculty and students on IRB requirements and submission questions.
• Identify potential noncompliance and reportable events with recommendations.
• Plan investigator training sessions and IRB meetings.
• Evaluate site authorization requests for use of institutional data or surveys.
• Prepare regulatory reports and maintain records per policy.
• Administer the institutional CITI training program and verify completion.
• Coordinate with Research Grants and data owners to resolve data-use concerns.
