Job summary

The University of Iowa seeks an IRB Education and Outreach Senior Specialist to develop and deliver education and outreach programs that support compliance with federal regulations and IRB requirements. The role requires on-campus presence for presentations, with a hybrid work arrangement within Iowa and monthly on-site visits.

Responsibilities include scheduling and promoting educational activities, preparing presentations, and providing administrative support for human subjects protection

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience (1–3 years) conducting and/or monitoring research involving human participants or related administrative support for human subject research.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral presentations.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling information and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver educational activities to ensure compliance with federal regulations and IRB requirements.
• Schedule, prepare, promote, and present educational programs on human subjects protections.
• Provide developmental and administrative support for human subjects protection programs at the HSO.
• Collaborate with diverse groups and stakeholders to promote effective education and outreach.
