Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking an IRB Coordinator to provide regulatory expertise, guidance, and administrative support for the Institutional Review Board. The role serves as the primary regulatory resource for investigators and staff, with a hybrid work schedule visiting Mercyhealth locations.

The position entails educating researchers, reviewing applications for compliance, and preparing documentation of determinations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biomedical, health science, social sciences or related field is required.
• Experience in healthcare or directly related to human subject research is required.
• Knowledge of federal regulations and guidelines governing human subjects research is required.

Responsibilities

• Educate researchers and staff on design and conduct of human subject research to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Guide researchers on procedural requirements in processing research proposals.
• Review new research applications for completeness and regulatory compliance.
