Job Details

The Institutional Review Board Coordinator supports the administrative review, tracking, documentation, and communication of
human research submissions. The role serves as a liaison among investigators, research teams, reviewers, institutional contacts,
and external partners to support timely, consistent, and well-documented review operations. The position coordinates submission
workflows, maintains accurate study information in electronic review systems and tracking tools, and communicates review
status, requirements, determinations, and follow-up items. Based on business need, the role may support specialized review
activities such as multi-site or reliance coordination, convened committee operations, or operational support for IRB systems and
workflows.

  • Coordinates and facilitates the administrative review of human research submissions across applicable review pathways, including intake, routing, tracking, documentation, and follow-up activities for local and externally reviewed research.
  • Serves as the primary liaison among investigators, research teams, reviewers, institutional contacts, and external partners, providing guidance on review processes, documentation requirements, and submission status.
  • Processes and monitors IRB transactions and study records in accordance with applicable institutional, ethical, and regulatory requirements, maintaining accurate information in electronic review and tracking systems.
  • Reviews, prepares, and communicates study-related documentation and correspondence, including required actions, determinations, investigator responses, and other review-related communications.
  • Maintains organized records and supports operational effectiveness, compliance, and quality improvement through accurate documentation, tracking, reporting, training, and other related duties as assigned.

  • Ability to prepare accurate correspondence, documentation, records, and meeting-related materials when assigned.
  • Ability to listen actively, synthesize information accurately, and distinguish required determinations or action items from general discussion.
  • Proficiency with electronic review systems, productivity software, spreadsheets, shared document platforms, email, calendar tools, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Collaborates effectively with investigators, research teams, reviewers, committee members, internal offices, and external partners.
Licenses and Certifications - Preferred
