Position Summary: Responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare in Imaging Services and assist in the performance of other duties. Provides quality patient care in a manner consistent with a safe and professional environment with primarily high-risk and critically ill patients of all ages. Performs patient care duties associated with invasive procedures of all disease processes, and maintains procedural statistical documentation on all cases. A competent RT may place PICC lines under the physician’s direction and supervision. This position functions in a highly specialized and unique area and must be available to participate in the on-call rotation covering weekends, holidays and various weekdays. Employee promotes service excellence. II. Qualifications: A. Education & Training: Graduate of an accredited School of Radiology. A RT who places PICC lines will have successfully completed a PICC line placement course. B. Experience: One (1) year experience as a Radiology Technologist or Interventional experience. C. Required Certification/Registration/Licensure: Current ARRT registration. Current AHA/ARC BLS certification. Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS or obtained within 9 months of hire. D. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Competent in the utilization of all standard radiographic equipment and supplies. A competent RT may place PICC lines under the physician’s direction and supervision.
