Emory Healthcare's Interventional Radiology team at Winship Midtown Hospital is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for full-time, on-site work. Shift is 7 AM to 5:30 PM, with 40 hours per week. Requires ARRT(R) certification and CPR, with experience in diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Certification: ARRT (R) and CPR certification required.
• Experience: one year of clinical radiology experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide quality care to patients undergoing radiology procedures in interventional suite and OR.
• Communicate patient needs and responses clearly in writing and verbally.
• Ensure complete and accurate documentation of patient care activities.
• Operate imaging and related equipment and maintain radiation safety.
• Prepare patients for procedures with proper sterile technique and inform families.

1. Provides quality care to patients receiving diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures in the interventional suite and operating room. Communicates patient's needs and response through appropriate verbal and written communications.2. Ensures documentation is complete and accurate regarding all aspects of patient care.3. Responsible for proper operation of imaging and specialty equipment as well as keeps abreast of uses of medical devices.4. Takes precautions to minimize patient and staff exposure to radiation. Assumes responsibility and provides direct care for all procedures performed in this area.5. Ensures that patients have been prepared for procedures.6. Prepares patients for procedure with proper sterile technique.7. Provides quality care to patients during procedures.8. Assists with patient and family education.9. May support or assist in research and related activities.10. Take after-hours and week call on occasion. Performs other related duties as required.

TRAVEL: Less than 10% of the time may be required.WORK TYPE: On-site.

Minimum Required Qualifications:Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.Certification - ARRT (R). CPR certification required.Preferred Qualifications: Experience: One (1) year of clinical experience, preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: (Medium): 20-50 lbs.; 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs., 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs., 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 50 lbs. max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs.; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks

Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock , Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
