Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for Interventional Radiology (PRN) in Elmhurst. Requires IL RN license; NLN-accredited nursing program; BSN preferred with a 5-year BSN goal. BLS & ACLS required. Critical Care/Emergency experience and telemetry are highly valued.

You will support IR procedures, sedation, patient monitoring, and post-procedure education while collaborating with radiology teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• IL RN license required.
• NLN-accredited school of Nursing; BSN strongly preferred and must be obtained within 5 years of hire.
• CPR: BLS & ACLS required by American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for Interventional Radiology patients.
• Administer IV conscious sedation and medications under physician direction.
• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to emergencies, including contrast reactions.
• Start IVs, manage central lines, and perform dressing changes.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and care teams to ensure safe, efficient procedures.
• Coordinate and support daily procedure scheduling and patient flow within the IR lab.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and follow-up care.
• Document all care and procedures accurately in Epic.
• Support quality and safety initiatives, including inventory and equipment readiness.
• Precept and mentor new staff and assist with training of team members.
