Job summary

Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL seeks a Registered Nurse for Interventional Radiology on a PRN basis. You will provide nursing care for IR patients, administer IV conscious sedation, and monitor patients during procedures.

Requirements include an IL RN license, NLN-accredited nursing program, and BSN preferred with a 5-year timeline. CPR (BLS & ACLS) is required; critical care and telemetry experience are highly valued. You will collaborate with radiologists and care teams and document in Epic.

Qualifications

IL RN license is required.
NLN-accredited nursing program completed.
BSN preferred; must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
CPR: BLS & ACLS required (AHA).
Critical Care/Emergency and conscious sedation experience preferred.
Telemetry monitoring experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care for Interventional Radiology patients.
Administer IV conscious sedation and medications under physician direction.
Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to emergencies.
Start IVs, manage central lines, and perform dressing changes.
Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and care teams to ensure safe procedures.
Coordinate daily procedure scheduling and patient flow in IR lab.
Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and follow-up care.
Document all care and procedures accurately in Epic.
Support quality and safety initiatives and equipment readiness.
Precept and mentor new staff and assist with training.
