Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in Interventional Radiology for PRN staffing in Elmhurst, IL. You will provide nursing care for IR patients, monitor during procedures, and support safe, efficient workflows alongside radiology teams. Requirements include IL RN license, NLN-accredited nursing program; BSN strongly preferred with commitment to obtain within 5 years.

CPR/BLS and ACLS required. Prior critical care/ED/telemetry experience is a plus.

Qualifications

IL RN license required.
NLN accredited school of Nursing.
BSN strongly preferred; must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
CPR/BLS & ACLS required (AHA).
Critical Care/Emergency/Telemetry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care for Interventional Radiology patients.
Administer IV conscious sedation and medications under physician direction.
Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to emergencies.
Start IVs, manage central lines, and perform dressing changes.
Collaborate with radiologists and care teams to ensure safe, efficient procedures.
Coordinate and support daily procedure scheduling and patient flow in IR lab.
Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and follow-up care.
Document care and procedures in Epic.
Support quality and safety initiatives, inventory and equipment readiness.
Precept and mentor new staff and assist with training.
