Job summary

Endeavor Health in Elmhurst, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for Interventional Radiology as a PRN role. The RN must have an IL license, an NLN-accredited nursing program, CPR/BLS and ACLS, and be willing to obtain a BSN within five years.

Prior critical care or emergency department and telemetry experience are highly valued. Responsibilities include providing bedside care for IR patients, administering IV sedation, monitoring during procedures, starting IVs, coordinating with radiology staff,

Qualifications

• IL RN license is required.
• NLN-accredited nursing program is required.
• BSN strongly preferred; must obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• CPR/BLS and ACLS required (AHA).
• Critical Care/Emergency Department and telemetry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for Interventional Radiology patients.
• Administer IV conscious sedation and medications under physician direction.
• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond to emergencies.
• Start IVs, manage central lines, and perform dressing changes.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and care teams to ensure safe, efficient procedures.
• Coordinate and support daily procedure scheduling and patient flow within the IR lab.
• Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and follow-up care.
• Document all care and procedures accurately in Epic.
• Support quality and safety initiatives, including inventory and equipment readiness.
• Precept and mentor new staff and assist with training.
