Registered Nurse Job Details

• Location: Chicago, IL 60612 (Illinois nursing jobs)
• Assignment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel RN Contract)
• Healthcare Setting: Interventional Radiology & Pain Management
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: December 2, 2025
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• RN Shift: 5x8-hour day shifts (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM)
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2620 - $2690
• Call Requirements: On-call rotation (M-F 12am-8am; weekends/holidays 24 hours, rotated among staff)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (2 weekends per month, occasional 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM shifts)
• Floating: Mandatory float between Radiology and Pain Management departments
• Scrub Color: Navy Blue (not provided)
• Charting System: Cerner EMR
• Parking: $2/day at nearby lot with shuttle service
  
  

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (required for all Chicago nursing jobs)
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience, preferably in Interventional Radiology or Pain Management
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions for flu only)
• Ability to float between Radiology and Pain Management departments
• Comfortable wearing lead protection during procedures
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Responsive and able to meet compliance deadlines
  
  

Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in Interventional Radiology and Pain Management settings
• Assist with interventional procedures, monitor patients, and ensure adherence to safety protocols
• Participate in on-call rotation, providing coverage as assigned, including weekends and holidays
• Float between Radiology and Pain Management departments as needed to support clinical operations
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to achieve optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain compliance with all hospital and healthcare facility policies and procedures
