Job summary

HiredFirst is seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to join an acute care hospital team. You will assist physicians with specialized diagnostic and minimally invasive procedures using advanced imaging technology in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Applicants must hold a NY State Radiologic Technologist license or be able to obtain it prior to start, ARRT certification, and BLS. A minimum of two years in radiology is expected, with VIR certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Active NY Radiologic Technologist license or ability to obtain prior to start.
• ARRT certification required; BLS certification required.
• 2+ years radiology/interventional radiology experience preferred.
• Proficiency with HIS/RIS/PACS systems and imaging documentation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional procedures and exams.
• Assist Radiologists during invasive and diagnostic procedures.
• Select exposure factors and produce high-quality images.
• Operate radiologic/interventional imaging equipment safely.
• Monitor equipment and report malfunctions promptly.
• Support room turnover and team workflow between procedures.
• Document imaging in HIS/RIS/PACS accurately.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and data security.
• Answer technical inquiries from physicians and staff.
• Promote patient safety, comfort, and compassionate care.

Interventional Radiology Technologist | Acute Care Hospital

Join a collaborative Interventional Radiology team where advanced imaging technology and compassionate patient care come together. We’re seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology Technologist to assist physicians with specialized diagnostic and minimally invasive procedures in a fast-paced clinical environment.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures and imaging exams
• Assist Radiologists during invasive and diagnostic procedures
• Select appropriate exposure factors and consistently produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate radiologic and interventional imaging equipment safely and efficiently
• Monitor equipment functionality and promptly report malfunctions or concerns
• Assist with room turnover and support team workflow between procedures
• Utilize HIS, RIS, and PACS systems accurately for imaging documentation and patient records
• Maintain strict confidentiality and safeguard patient information at all times
• Answer technical inquiries from physicians and hospital personnel professionally and efficiently
• Promote patient safety, comfort, dignity, and compassionate care throughout all interactions

What You’ll Bring:

• Active New York State Radiologic Technologist license required (or ability to obtain prior to start)
