Job summary

Olathe Hospital is seeking an Interventional Radiology Nurse II (RN) to deliver expert nursing care in a high-volume IR unit and collaborate with physicians, nurses and the care team. You will assess patients, implement plans and document care thoroughly to ensure safety and quality.

Ideal candidates have ADN with BSN requirement by five years, 2+ years of clinical nurse experience, and ACS/APLS-related credentials.

Qualifications

• 2 or more years experience as a clinical nurse.
• Perioperative & Procedures - For ADN prepared nurses hired after 2/24/2017; must complete BSN degree by the fifth anniversary of employment as an RN with UKHA
• BSN completion within five years of employment or policy compliance

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive patient assessment specific to clinical area/unit.
• Delegates tasks appropriately within scope of practice to ancillary personnel and performs the necessary follow up.
• Responds appropriately to emergencies and demonstrates time management.
• Documents all aspects of care thoroughly per hospital policy.
• Follows organizational policies in providing safe patient care.
• Integrates patient and family teaching in daily routine.
• Participates in department quality improvement efforts.
• Under physician direction, performs moderate and deep sedation with appropriate monitoring and documentation.
