Job summary

Leonardo DRS in Dallas, TX seeks a Technician to grow and process HgCdTe materials for IR technologies. You will work in a cleanroom environment handling hazardous materials, operating LPE reactors, and supporting engineers with metrology and process tooling.

The role focuses on precise material growth, process optimization, safety compliance, and documentation within MES. Candidates must pass PPE requirements and physical task constraints.

Qualifications

• Must be able to work in a class 10000 environment and wear PPE.
• Physical requirements: lift 25 lbs weekly and stand/walk half the time.
• Ability to read and comprehend work instructions.

Responsibilities

• HgCdTe LPE material growth and post-growth processing with precision.
• Handle HgCdTe/CdZnTe materials and chemicals with care and dexterity.
• Operate LPE reactors, take metrology measurements, inspect materials.
• Provide routine technical support to engineers on components and processes.
• Manage WIP and optimize production flow, maintain records in MES.
• Perform tasks in a class 10000 cleanroom with strict cleanliness rules.
• Adapt techniques to improve efficiency and respond to process deviations.
• Use PPE correctly and follow safety guidelines.
• Interpret process flow instructions accurately.
