Job summary

Texas Health Plano is seeking an IR/Neuro Tech to join the Neuro Special Procedures team. This role supports imaging quality, patient prep, and intra-procedural assistance under radiologist guidance.

Requirements include an Associate Degree or Cardiovascular Technology program, ARRT/RCIS/LMRT/GMRT certifications, and BCLS with ACLS within 90 days. On-site benefits include 401k and on-site childcare.

Responsibilities

• Imaging quality and processing.
• Explain procedures to patient or guardian prior to exam.
• Perform complex procedures with age-related criteria and developmental considerations.
• Assist radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
• Send and transfer images to PACS.

WORK LOCATION: Texas Health Plano is located at 6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093

WORK SCHEDULE: FT, 40 Hours; 10 hour shifts, 6:30am-5:00pm, Monday - Friday with rotating days off; On call required (Must live within 30 minutes of Texas Health Plano)

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

• Associate Degree Applied Science required OR
• Completion of accredited program in Cardiovascular Technology required Or
• High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of work experience in invasive cardiology required.
• 1 year of vascular or cardiac angiography preferred.
• ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Upon Hire required And
• GMRT - General Medical Radiologic Technologist If ARRT Only Upon Hire preferred OR
• RCIS-Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist-Obtain within 6 months of hire if graduated from Cardiovascular Accredited Program
• LMRT-Limited Medical Radiologic Technologist-If you have RCIS certification only
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
• ACLS-Advanced Cardiac Life Support-within 90 days of hire required

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

• Imaging Quality and Processing:
• Explains procedures to patient or guardian / family member if applicable prior to exam.
• Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.
• Assists radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
• Correctly sends and transfers images to PACS.
