Job summary

Teledyne FLIR Defense is seeking an experienced technician to diagnose and repair complex Infrared imaging systems. You will read wiring diagrams, troubleshoot to component level, and assist customers to resolve service issues.

The role involves collaboration with engineering for upgrades and ECOs, and developing standard repair procedures. Qualified candidates will have 5–7 years in related field, 3–5 years in thermal imaging service, an AS degree in electronics, and solder certifications.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience in a related field required.
• 3–5 years servicing thermal imaging equipment is a strong plus.
• AS degree in electronics or equivalent preferred.
• Solder certifications strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic test equipment and hand tools.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, refurbish, service and support Imaging Systems products.
• Assist engineering with system upgrades and ECOs.
• Develop standard repair and maintenance procedures per ISO standards.
• Provide technical support for spare parts inventories and customer issues.
• Provide accurate repair estimates including labor and material.
