Job summary

Nazareth Hospital in Nazareth prepares for an IR/Cath Lab Tech who will support interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures in the Cardiology unit. You will scrub, circulate, and monitor cases, operate imaging systems, and assist with patient prep and post‑procedure care.

Qualifications include an Associate degree, BLS/ACLS, and ARRT/RCIS certification, with prior IR/Cath Lab hospital experience.

• ARRT and/or RCIS certification required.
• Previous IR and Cath Lab experience in hospital setting required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness and sterility
• Scrub, circulate, or monitor cases in accordance with role assignment and department needs
• Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, X‑ray, hemodynamic monitoring systems) during procedures
• Prepare contrast media, catheters, wires, and interventional devices
• Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic data during procedures and report changes promptly
• Ensure proper radiation safety practices for patients, physicians, and staff
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control and safety standards
• Document procedural information accurately in the electronic health record
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and post‑procedure care and transport
• Clean, restock, and maintain procedural equipment and inventory
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations following department protocols
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the procedural team
