Job summary

Trinity Health Mid-Atlantic Nazareth Hospital in Northeast Philadelphia is seeking an IR/Cath Lab Tech to support physicians during interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures. You will prepare rooms, scrub, circulate, and monitor cases, while operating imaging equipment and ensuring sterile technique.

The position requires an associates degree, BLS/ACLS, ARRT/RCIS certification, and prior IR/Cath Lab experience in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• BLS required
• ACLS required
• ARRT and/or RCIS certification required.
• Previous IR and Cath Lab experience in hospital setting required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness and sterility.
• Scrub, circulate, or monitor cases in accordance with role assignment and department needs.
• Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, X-ray, hemodynamic monitoring systems) during procedures.
• Prepare contrast media, catheters, wires, and interventional devices.
• Monitor patient vital signs and hemodynamic data during procedures and report changes promptly.
• Ensure proper radiation safety practices for patients, physicians, and staff.
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection control and safety standards.
• Document procedural information accurately in the electronic health record.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and post-procedure care and transport.
• Clean, restock, and maintain procedural equipment and inventory.
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations following department protocols.
• Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other members of the procedural team.
