Job summary

Trinity Health Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia seeks an IR/Cath Lab Tech in the Cardiology unit to support interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures. You will prepare rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness and sterility, scrub, circulate, and monitor cases with imaging equipment.

The role requires an associate degree, BLS and ACLS, ARRT/RCIS certification, and prior IR/Cath Lab hospital experience.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• ARRT and/or RCIS certification required.
• Previous IR/Cath Lab hospital experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians during interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, and supplies to ensure readiness and sterility.
• Scrub, circulate, or monitor cases according to role and department needs.
• Operate imaging equipment during procedures (fluoroscopy, X-ray).
• Prepare contrast media, catheters, wires, and interventional devices.
• Monitor patient vitals and hemodynamic data during procedures.
• Ensure proper radiation safety practices for patients, physicians, and staff.
• Maintain sterile technique and infection control standards.
• Document procedural information in the electronic health record.
• Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and post-procedure care and transport.
• Restock and maintain equipment and inventory.
• Respond to emergencies per department protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and procedural team.
