Job summary

Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, AL is seeking a full-time Radiology Technologist to assist in cardiac catheterization procedures using diagnostic and interventional radiographic equipment. Will maintain sterile technique and apply cardiovascular knowledge; provide direct patient care to adults 18+; and document data in the hemodynamic system.

Qualifications

• Cath Lab experience or exposure in invasive procedures.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Graduation from an accredited Radiology Technology program with radiology clinical training.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician in cardiac catheterization procedures as monitor, scrub and circulate.
• Maintain sterile technique and radiographic awareness during procedures.
• Enter and manage patient data in the hemodynamic computer system.

Responsible for assisting in the performance of cardiac catheterization procedures utilizing diagnostic and interventional radiographic equipment. Utilizes sterile technique and maintains operational and anatomic knowledge of the cardiovascular system. Provides direct patient care to patients 18 years of age, or older. Maintains appropriate and accurate data in the hemodynamic computer system. Will be required to assist the physician in the performance of all catheterization procedures in the role of monitor, scrub and circulate. rec:max

Registered Radiology Tech (ARRT) or RCIS credentials or CVT experience and BLS preferred. Graduation from accredited School of Radiology Technology and one year of special procedures or cath lab experience reruired. IR Vascular experience preferred.
