Job summary

Norman Regional Health System is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist to join our team in Norman, OK. The role supports our 16 Cath Lab Same Day Surgery rooms and five Cardiac Cath Lab procedure rooms, working with multiple cardiologists including interventionists and an electrophysiologist.

The position is PRN with varying shifts and on‑site duties. The candidate should complete required Cath Lab orientation and all department competencies within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Cath Lab orientation to be completed within 6 months.
• Complete all department competencies within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
• Identifies and assesses patient condition; prepares, positions and provides patient care.
• Maintains sterile environment during procedures.
• Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students; participates in orientation of new staff.
• Uses downtime to stock rooms, check equipment and perform delegated tasks by Charge Person or manager.
• Maintains strong professional relationships with physicians and leadership to ensure excellent patient care.

Compensation / Benefits

• $32.56-$53.18/hr based on previous work experience.
• PRN differential $2.50/hr.
• Evening differential $2.50/hr.
• Night differential $3.00/hr.

We have an innovative cardiovascular program and we are looking for caring knowledgeable Cardiovascular Technologist to add to our team. We have 16 Cath Lab Same Day Surgery rooms and five Cardiac Cath Lab procedure rooms and two treatment rooms. We work with 10 Cardiologist and seven of which are interventionist and one electrophysiologist.

Job Summary

• Prepares equipment before and during procedures

Qualifications

• Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within 6 months.
• Complete all competencies listed in department policy within 6 months.

Education

• Completion of 24 month formal program or military program of Radiologic Technology or completion of Registered Cardiovascular Technologist program or completion of Cardiovascular Technologist Program

Experience

• Previous Procedural Area experience preferred

Licensure/Certification/Registration/ETC.

• Must be registered/certified at time of hire or registry/certification eligible within 6 months of employment
• Registration should be through the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, registered in Radiography (R), preferred registry in (CV) or (CI.) and/or through Cardiovascular Credentialing International, RCIS certification
