Job summary

Stormont Vail Health in Topeka, KS is seeking an Acute Care RN for Interventional Radiology/Cath Lab. This full-time day shift role requires providing nursing care during image-guided IR procedures, including patient assessment, monitoring, medications, and sterile procedure support.

The nurse will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, participate in on-call coverage, and ensure safety and quality through adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred; experience in IR, critical care, emergency, or procedural nursing is advantageous.
• Demonstrates competency in acute care nursing psychomotor skills.
• Effective communication and medication calculation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care during IR procedures and monitors patient status.
• Performs patient assessment and continuous monitoring before, during, and after IR procedures.
• Administers medications, including moderate sedation, per physician orders.
• Assists physicians during IR procedures using sterile technique.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Participates in IR on-call rotation for emergent procedures and quality initiatives.
