Job summary

Qualifications

• RN licensure in KS (KSBN) and basic life support required by department after hire date.
• Experience in interventional radiology, critical care, emergency, or procedural nursing preferred.
• Knowledge of patient safety, legal and ethical standards in nursing practice.
• Demonstrates competency in acute care nursing psychomotor skills.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care and patient assessment before, during, and after IR procedures.
• Administers medications, including moderate sedation, per physician orders.
• Assists physicians during IR procedures using sterile technique.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to develop and evaluate care plans.
• Documents assessments, interventions, medications, and procedural support accurately.
• Participates in IR on-call rotation and professional practice initiatives.
• Precepts and mentors staff and students as assigned.
