Job description

Job Summary

The IQS Inspector is responsible for inspecting finished and in-process parts/materials to ensure compliance with customer quality and packaging specifications. This role is pivotal in maintaining product quality standards and meeting customer expectations.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Inspect parts for quality and defects, ensuring adherence to customer specifications
  • Verify that all parts are painted according to customer requirements, with no areas left exposed unless specified
  • Ensure suppliers pack parts in compliance with customer packaging requirements
  • Inspect materials before outside processing to confirm completion of production steps per specifications
  • Touch up parts as necessary to rectify any defects or paint errors
  • Identify non-conforming parts and arrange for their return to the supplier, tagging rejected products appropriately
  • Review work orders to determine which products require stamping and notify management of any discrepancies
  • Secure weld nuts on products and ensure threads are not painted
  • Maintain cleanliness of products, correcting paint errors and cleaning as needed
  • Accurately count products to prevent shrinkage and count discrepancies
  • Document all inspections thoroughly and report any issues to the supervisor
  • Adhere to safety protocols and company policies, performing basic housekeeping duties as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
