Job summary

TBC is seeking an IPTV & Coax TV Specialist for a healthcare technology company delivering digital patient experience and clinical workflow solutions to hospitals. The role focuses on deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IPTV and Coax TV infrastructure across client environments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with headend systems, Android OS, media players, DRM, and supports remote diagnostics, customer support, and field readiness.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on IPTV, Coax TV, and network infrastructure experience.
• Experience with major TV providers (Spectrum, Cox, Comcast, Direct TV) and encryption.
• Knowledge of multicast/unicast protocols and IGMPv2/v3.
• Proficiency with Android OS, media players (ExoPlayer, VLC), and DRM systems.
• Experience coding within media player environments to optimize playback and DRM integration.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain IPTV and Coax TV infrastructure across client environments.

Seeking an IPTV & Coax TV Specialist for a healthcare technology company providing digital patient experience and clinical workflow solutions to hospitals. This position will support the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of IPTV and Coax TV infrastructure across diverse client environments. This role demands hands‑on expertise in headend systems, media players, DRM technologies, and Android OS, with a strong focus on remote diagnostics, customer support, and field readiness.

This is a direct hire position with full benefits that is remote but candidates must be located on the East Coast or the Midwest to be considered with 50% travel.

• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in IPTV, Coax TV, and network infrastructure.
• Experience working with TV providers including Spectrum, Cox, Comcast, Direct TV,
• and others, this includes encryption methodologies.
• Strong understanding of multicast/unicast protocols, IGMPv2/v3, and headend
• configurations.
• Proficiency with Android OS, media player frameworks (e.g. ExoPlayer, VLC), and
• DRM systems.
• Experience coding within media player environments (e.g., customizing ExoPlayer or
• VLC) to support playback optimization, UI enhancements, or DRM integration.
• Familiarity with TV interface protocols such as HDMI CEC and MPI.
• Experience with IPTV headend systems like Anevia, VITEC, or similar.
• Knowledge of coaxial tuning, DVB standards, and hybrid OTT/IPTV/DVB setups.
